Nightdive Studios has published the remastered edition of LucasArts first-person shooter Star Wars: Dark Forces.

First launched in 1995 for MS-DOS, Dark Forces utilized the Jedi game engine, developed by LucasArts programmer Ray Gresko. Music for the game is by Clint Bajakian, based on John Williams' Star Wars film scores. The first-person perspective PC title utilized the iMUSE (Interactive Music Streaming) game audio engine, designed by Michael Land and Peter McConnell in 1994, synchronizing sections of music with on-screen gameplay.

Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster is fully remastered through the use of Nightdive's KEX engine, available for Windows through Steam, along with Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

From the product page:
Created in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games and fully remastered through our KEX engine, Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster supports up to 4K at 120FPS and features advanced 3D rendering, modern gamepad support, trophies and achievements, and more

As you explore the eerie mansion, the puzzles become increasingly challenging, and there are dangers lurking around every corner, with every shadow, creak, and flicker of light adding to the haunting tension.
