Sea of Stars: Sunset Edition launched for Nintendo Switch 2
Independent developer Sabotage Studio in Quebec has published the Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Sea of Stars. The turn-based role-playing game now features the Sunset Edition contents across all platforms, including a new cinematic intro and an expanded flashback appearing later in the game.

The original soundtrack and "Throes of the Watchmaker" expansion score are hosted on Bandcamp and Steam. Music is by main composer and audio designer Eric W. Brown, with contributions from Vincent Jake Jones, Reece Miller, and guest composer Yasunori Mitsuda.

Following the 2023 launch of the base game, major update "Dawn of Equinox" introduced out a revamped prologue and assorted fan-requested additions. Last year's launch of "Throes of the Watchmaker" expanded the landscape to explore the miniature clockwork world of Horloge, introducing playable character Arty, local cooperative play with up to three players, mini-games, enemies, bosses and puzzles.

Mobile game publisher Playdigious released the mobile port for iOS and Android devices in April, available via the Google Play storefront and App Store for iPhone. Sea of Stars: Sunset Edition is also available for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series X|S, PS4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. The Windows PC edition is on Steam and GOG.com, verified for use with the Steam Deck.

From the Nintendo product page:
Embark on a journey of peril and wonder as a Solstice Warrior in this turn-based RPG inspired by the classics. Sea of Stars tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fighting off the monstrous creations of an evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.
