Resident Evil Village for Nintendo Switch 2 slated for release in February
During today's Nintendo Direct presentation, Capcom unveiled the Nintendo Switch 2 port of Resident Evil Village Gold Edition. The survival horror game will launch on February 27th of 2026. The expanded release includes the Winters' Expansion, Third Person Mode, The Mercenaries Additional Orders, and Shadows of Rose.

Available for shipping from the publisher, Laced Records' deluxe double vinyl soundtrack is pressed on ochre and black marbled LPs, featuring 25 specially mastered music tracks. Music for the game is by Shusaku Uchiyama, Nao Sato, Kota Suzuki and Azusa Kato.


The Complete Edition of the Resident Evil Village Original Soundtrack is streaming on Spotify and Apple Music, spanning 135 tracks in length. The full album includes the base game's score, along with additional music taken from the Winters’ Expansion.

Marcin Przybyłowicz contributes the “Village of Shadows” theme for the intro story book sequence, while Brian D'Oliveira worked with folk artist Aga Ujma on the ending credits song, “Yearning for Dark Shadows.” A behind-the-scenes video with footage from recording sessions can be viewed on the Capcom YouTube channel.

Resident Evil Village is currently available for Windows through Steam (verified for use with the Steam Deck), Mac and iOS. The console edition is available for PlayStation 4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series X|S. Capcom's VR port is playable on PlayStation VR2, available as downloadable contents.
