Publlished by Square Enix, Octopath Traveler II soundtrack album by series composer Yasunori Nishiki spans six compact discs. The CD set ships with a booklet with comments by Nishiki, producer Masashi Takahashi, and director Keisuke Miyauchi of Acquire Corp.

The original Octopath pioneered the "HD-2D" development framework, producing a distinctive visual aesthetic that combines sprite-based, two-dimensional character art and three-dimensional polygonal terrains. Other "HD-2D" titles include this year's LIVE A LIVE remake, and the forthcoming remake of Dragon Quest III.

Octopath Traveler II launched worldwide for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PlayStation 5, and Windows through Steam. Soundtrack excerpts from Discs 1 through 4 are now streaming on the official album website, while excerpts of all music tracks are streaming on digital music store Ototoy. Cover illustration is by character designer Naoki Ikushima.
