Channel 3 Records, in collaboration with developer Arc System Works, is scheduled to open preorders for the Guilty Gear vinyl soundtrack album on January 3rd, 2022. The first pressing of the two-disc analog record set is limited to 1000 copies.

Subtitled "The Missing Link," the first installment in the 2D fighting game franchise was published for the Sony PlayStation console in 1998. Guilty Gear takes place in the 22nd century, after a bitter war has been fought between humanity and biological weapons, dubbed "Gears." Ten combatants enter an international fighting tournament to determine the fate of the Gears' imprisoned leader.

Music for the PlayStation fighting game is composed by Daisuke Ishiwatari, who led development at Team Neo Blood, a production group within publisher Arc System Works. Arrangement and keyboards for the soundtrack are by Yasuharu Takanashi, with Shotaro Ohata featured on guitar, and Isamu Takita on bass.

Guilty Gear is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Windows through Steam. Music from the game appears on volume 1 of the Guilty Gear Sound Complete Box compilation, streaming on Spotify and Amazon Music Unlimited.
