Preorders open for Ghost in the Shell PlayStation soundtrack reprint

First published in 1997 by Sony Music, a reprint PlayStation soundtrack "Ghost in the Shell Megatech Body CD.,LTD." is planned for release in September. The album will be pressed on two compact discs and include two additional music tracks.
Jumping Flash! developer Exact partnered with Production I.G to develop the game for the Sony PlayStation console in 1997, featuring art design overseen by manga illustrator Masamune Shirow. Players take on the role of an unnamed rookie in the Public Security Section 9 intelligence department, controlling a one-man spider-shaped tank called "Fuchikoma." Animated cutscenes feature series protagonists Motoko Kusanagi and Batou.
The techno soundtrack, produced by Takkyu Ishino, includes music by Mijk Van Dijk, Hardfloor, and Derrick May, planned for release on September 18th. Preorders have opened at distributors CDJapan, Play-Asia, disk union, and iam8bit Japan & Asia. A vinyl release is planned for this fall.
