Frostpunk 2 DLC Fractured Utopias to launch on December 8th
Developer 11 bit studios has scheduled the first downloadable contents expansion for Frostpunk 2 for release on December 8th. Fractured Utopias introduces eight unique faction Utopias, each with unique skill trees unlocking new abilities, buildings, and hubs.

The society survival game is set in the city of New London in the early 20th century, in an alternate telling of history, Earth is beset by a worldwide volcanic winter. The console release date trailer is streaming on the developer's YouTube channel.

Jakub Stokalski, co-director and design director, comments, "We still use that post-apocalyptic, frozen setup, to tell a meaningful story about human ambition, societies striving for their ideas, and the consequences of hard decisions which are not always respected by everyone. Because ultimately, what can end us is not nature itself - it's human nature.”


Milan Records published the Frostpunk 2 vinyl soundtrack album, composed by Piotr Musiał. In the "Sounds of Frostland" behind-the-scenes, Musiał and sound designer Krzysztof Lipka discuss the legacy of the franchise and how instrument choices complement the genre.

Frostpunk 2 Original Game Soundtrack is hosted on Steam, with streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music Unlimited. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes post-release downloadable contents, the digital artbook, and soundtrack album.

Frostpunk 2 is currently available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows and Mac through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
