Strictly Limited has opened preorders for the Wonder Boy Anniversary Collection Ultra Collector's Edition for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

The Ultra Collector's Edition box set, limited to one thousand units, ships with a music box and soundtrack collection on compact disc, among other collector's items. Shipping from Strictly Limited is estimated for November.

ININ Games' digital release of the compilation is due out on June 3rd, bundling 21 total variations of six Wonder Boy series platformers, Originally published for Sega's Master System, Game Gear and Mega Drive consoles, the retro game collection includes Wonder Boy, Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair, Wonder Boy The Dragon‘s Trap, Wonder Boy in Monster World, and Monster World IV.

Music for Wonder Boy is by designer Ryuichi Nishizawa, while the game score for Monster World IV is by Jin Watanabe. Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Monster Lair, The Dragon‘s Trap and Wonder Boy in Monster World feature music by Clockwork Aquario composer Shinichi Sakamoto.
