The expanded Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 port will launch on June 5th, alongside the new Nintendo console, adding "Puyo Tetris Doubles" co-op mode. Coperative gameplay takes place on the same board, challenging two players to organize, stack and chain Puyo pairs and Tetriminos as they fall.
The original Puyo Puyo Tetris debuted in February of 2014 for the Nintendo Wii and 3DS, along with the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita consoles. Kadokawa Corporation pressed Puyo Puyo Tetris 1 & 2 Original Soundtrack on two compact discs in December of 2020. The album contains 82 music tracks from the hybrid puzzle game series, composed by Hideki Abe. Arrangements are by Hirofumi Murasaka, Naofumi Hayata and Jun Senoue.
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X|S consoles. The Windows edition is available through Steam, verified for use with the Steam Deck.
