Square Enix has posted the overview launch trailer for Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven, developed in collaboration with Xeen Inc. The playable demo previously launched for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PlayStation 5 consoles, along with Windows through Steam.

The 3D remake of Romancing SaGa 2, first released in 1993 for the Super Famicom console, features original and arranged music composed by Kenji Ito. Scheduled for release on Thursday, the turn-based role-playing game spans multiple generations of rule within the Empire of Varennes.


Through the Inheritance System, the player can select successive Emperors and pass down imperial powers through the generations. At the Imperial University in-game location, players can take part in imperial exams to gain crafting materials, or stream original and arranged music in the Odeum.

Preorders have opened at the Square Enix store and distributor CDJapan for Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven Original Soundtrack. The album is planned for release on October 30th, pressed on two compact discs.
