Romancing SaGa 2 debuted in 1993 for the Super Famicom console, featuring original and arranged music composed by Kenji Ito. The turn-based role-playing game spans multiple generations of rule within the Empire of Varennes.
Through the Inheritance System, the player can select successive Emperors and pass down imperial powers through the generations. At the Imperial University in-game location, players can take part in imperial exams to gain crafting materials, or stream original and arranged music in the Odeum.
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven Original Soundtrack ships on two compact discs from the Square Enix store for North America and Europe, along with distributor CDJapan. Excerpts of all tracks are streaming on the official album website.
Developed in collaboration with Xeen Inc., Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is also available for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PlayStation 5 consoles, along with Windows through Steam. The "Making of the Game's Music" behind-the-scenes can be viewed on the publisher's YouTube channel.
