Resident Evil 2 is now available for Xbox One and Series X|S consoles through Game Pass. Capcom's 2019 survival horror remake for PS4 and PlayStation 5 also joined the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog.

A retelling of the events of the iconic PlayStation title from 1998, Capcom's third-person survival horror title was built from the ground-up using the company's proprietary RE Engine. Supporting modernized controls and an over-the-shoulder perspective, players guide rookie police officer Leon Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield through Raccoon City's disastrous viral outbreak.

Music for the game is by Shusaku Uchiyama, Masami Ueda, and Tadayoshi Makino, among other composers. Laced Records published the four-disc vinyl, specially mastered by Joe Caithness. The digital soundtrack for Resident Evil 2 (2019) is available for purchase through Steam, and for streaming on Amazon Music Unlimited. An excerpted 22-track "Best Selection" album is streaming on Spotify.

Verified for use with the Steam Deck, Resident Evil 2 is also available for Windows through Steam.

From the product page:
The soundtrack played a huge part in establishing the taut atmosphere of Resident Evil 2, as the composers shifted gears between dark ambient electronic music, thumping cinematic percussion, and audacious orchestral and choral passages. Capcom veteran Shusaku Uchiyama — who worked on the 1998 original — was given lead composition duties, and also arranged several of Masami Ueda’s original pieces.
