Composed by Nine Inch Nails, the Quake remastered double vinyl soundtrack ships from the NIN store. The industrial rock band was founded in Cleveland in 1988 by producer Trent Reznor, responsible for performing all instruments himself, apart from the drums.

An enthusiast of Id Software's Doom, Reznor joined the development team on Quake in 1996, also providing voice acting for the protagonist. The project followed Reznor's work on the score for Oliver Stone's film Natural Born Killers, and preceded production on the music score for David Lynch's Lost Highway.

A science fiction-themed first-person shooter, Quake takes place in labyrinthine, medieval environments, developed using a custom engine supporting real-time three-dimensional rendering. Quake for Windows is available through GOG.

The remastered 2021 edition is available for Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. A free update adds 4K resolution support for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The digital soundtrack is streaming on YouTube Music.
