In November, publisher Nippon Columbia pressed the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword soundtrack album to compact disc. The album release followed the record label's "Zelda Concert 2018" disc set, published as a standard edition and expanded limited editions.

Performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra with conductor Taizo Takemoto, the Zelda series orchestral concert was held in December of 2018 at Bunkamura Orchard Hall, Tokyo. Providing a bird's eye view of the long-running franchise, the concert begins with composer Manaka Kataoka's "Main Theme from Breath of the Wild" and concludes with "The Legend of Zelda Main Theme" by Koji Kondo.

A variety of medleys fill the gap between the landmark NES and Nintendo Switch exclusives. They include the "Ocarina Melody Suite 2018" arranged by Kosuke Yamashita, "A Link Between Worlds & Tri Force Heroes Medley" arranged by Ryo Nagamatsu, and "Link's Awakening Medley" arranged by Natsumi Kameoka.

As with Nippon Columbia's Animal Crossing: New Horizons soundtrack, the standard edition ships on compact discs, while the limited edition bundles additional media. The region-free Blu-ray included in the limited edition contains concert footage and trailers. Both sets ship domestically from Play-Asia and CDJapan.
