Developed by TOSE, multi-directional scrolling action game Ikki arrived in arcades in Japan in 1985. Sun Electronics localized the two-player title for Western territories under the title "Farmers Rebellion."

Farmers Gonbe and Tago single-handedly wage war against their oppressive feudal overlord, fending off an army of ninjas using sickles as thrown projectiles. Sunsoft published a console port for the Nintendo Famicom in late '85. Arcade Archives Ikki by Hamster Corporation is currently available for PlayStation 4.

Sunsoft's casual roguelike action game Ikki Unite launched for Windows through Steam earlier this month, supporting co-op gameplay with up to 16 players. The digital soundtrack album is now available for streaming on Amazon Music Unlimited, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
