Following the debut of spin-offs Salamander and Parodius, Konami published the third mainline installment in the Gradius franchise of arcade sidescrolling shoot-em-ups in 1989. The following year, Gradius III took flight on the 16-bit Super Famicom home console.

Publisher Ship to Shore's Gradius III double vinyl soundtrack includes both the arcade and Super Nintendo scores in one compilation. Showcasing art by Ian Wilding and music composed by Konami Kukeiha Club sound team members, the item ships from distributor Black Screen Records on clear and green color vinyl, from PixelCrib on crystal clear vinyl, and from The Yetee on transparent yellow vinyl.

The vinyl soundtrack can also be purchased through disk union in Japan. Hamster Coporations' Arcade Archives: Gradius III port is available for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
