Bandai Namco has updated the company's Game Music portal, adding three classic arcade soundtracks from the Namco Legendary series of albums.

Galaxian spiritual successor Galaga arrived in arcades in 1981 in Japan, developed for the Namco Galaxian arcade board. The player controls a starfighter capable of strafing left and right at the bottom of the screen, blasting projectiles at enemy spaceships.

Galaga is included in the Namco Museum compilation for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows through Steam. Standalone port Arcade Archives Galaga is available for Switch and PS4. The seven-minute soundtrack is by Nobuyuki Ohnogi.

In 1984, Gaplus served as a direct followup, marking the third installment in the Galaxian franchise, and this time developed for Namco Phozon hardware. A nine-minute sound effects compilation is now hosted on streaming platforms. Arcade Archives Gaplus is currently available for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

Galaga'88 utilized the Namco System 1 hardware to deliver more detailed backgrounds and larger enemy sprites. Standalone port Arcade Archives Galaga'88 is currently available for Switch and PS4, published by Hamster Corporation. Music for the game is by Valkyrie no Densetsu composer Hiroyuki Kawada.
