Preorders have opened for Etrian Odyssey II HD, scheduled for release on June 1st for Nintendo Switch and Windows through Steam.

Originally subtitled "Heroes of Lagaard," the dungeon crawler developed by Atlus was released for the Nintendo DS console in 2007. The role-playing game invites players to discover the city of High Lagaard, a prosperous town situated alongside the forested maze known as the Yggdrasil Labyrinth.

The remaster features high resolution graphics, a remastered soundtrack by Streets of Rage series composer Yuzo Koshiro, and quality of life improvements, including difficulty settings and multiple save slots. The Switch release allows for touchscreen functionality for manually mapping out the environs.

The 56-track soundtrack for the Nintendo DS edition is available for streaming through Amazon Music Unlimited, Spotify and YouTube Music. The soundtrack ships on compact disc from distributor CDJapan.

From the product page:
When civilization sunk beneath the seven seas, deep forests spread across the five remaining islands. Only the chosen ones escaped the waters in their castle stronghold. Eventually, the waves overtook even the last five islands...And the castle was all that remained. After the passing of ages, the people of the floating castle have chosen to descend upon their mother soil. Build your own party from twelve different classes of heroes and climb through the Yggdrasil tree to reach the clouds and uncover the truth of High Lagaard.
