The offline adaptation of the massively multiplayer game, developed by B.B. Studio, was announced last year during the Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary Special. Dragon Quest X marked another collaboration between designer Yuji Horii, artist Akira Toriyama, and composer Koichi Sugiyama.
Orchestral arrangement album "Symphonic Suite Dragon Quest X" was published in December of 2012, featuring the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. The soundtrack album for the Nintendo Wii U edition of Dragon Quest X followed in July of 2013, composed by Sugiyama. Both compact disc editions ship domestically from CDJapan.
