Momento features whimsical settings, relaxing gameplay, and charming branching narratives. Players journey through life, choosing furniture, objects, and wallpaper for indoor decoration, determining how the story unfolds. Music is by Australian composer Mikey O’Neil, with immersive sound effects and interactive audio by Melbourne-based Sub-Zero Sound.
Spanning 39 official tracks and 8 bonus tracks, the Original Game Soundtrack is hosted on Bandcamp and Steam, with streaming on Spotify and Amazon Music Unlimited.
"The first set of themes represent the compositions in their fullest form," reads the liner notes, "with all instruments and layers active. Version II is slightly stripped back, with fewer layers but still keeping much of the core instrumentation from each theme. Version III is very stripped back, often with just a few solo instruments and minimal texture and layering."
Momento for Windows PC and MacOS is hosted on Steam, verified for use with the Steam Deck. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch console editions are scheduled for release on June 30th.
