The turn-based role-playing game for PSP is an enhanced port of Shin Megami Tensei spin-off title Megami Ibunroku Persona, first appearing on Sony PlayStation in 1996. Notable differences include the original opening movie and full-motion video cutscenes, depicting characters designed by Kazuma Kaneko.
A seven-minute crossfade trailer is streaming on the Atlus Game Music YouTube channel. Music is composed by Shoji Meguro, Hidehito Aoki, Ryota Kozuka, Kenichi Tsuchiya, and Misaki Okibe. Several original vocal tracks, including "Dream of Butterfly" and "A Lone Prayer," are performed by Yumi Kawamura. Tsuchiya, Kozuka, and Atsushi Kitajoh also contributed as sound designers.
