Norwegian developer Funcom has posted an eight-minute deep dive video, outlining Dune: Awakening's full single-player mode. Players can choose from preset difficulty profiles: tailoring the gameplay for focus on the story, or placing more emphasis on hardcore survival challenges.

The open world survival game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles adds an additional story chapter and performance improvements. The Xbox edition joins Game Pass Ultimate catalog upon launch on September 22nd.

A previously released behind-the-scenes featurette includes commentary by music composer Knut Avenstroup Haugen and audio director Arild Iversen. The 26-track soundtrack, performed by the Chamber Orchestra of London and recorded at AIR Lyndhurst Hall, is available through streaming platforms, published by Milan Records.

Dune: Awakening is currently available for Windows PC through Steam, verified for use with the Steam Deck. Laced Records published the Deluxe Double Vinyl Soundtrack, available for shipping from distributor Arcline Store in the United States. Vocal tracks from the album are performed by Clara Sorace.
