Record label Cartridge Thunder has opened preorders for the two-disc Virtua Fighter vinyl soundtrack, including music from the arcade and Sega Saturn home console editions.

The 3D polygonal fighting game was developed by Sega AM2 and landed in arcades in 1993. Music is by Tobal 2 composer Takayuki Nakamura. Sega's Takenobu Mitsuyoshi adapted the soundtrack for the Saturn, performed on keyboard, and voiced the character of Kage-Maru.

Liner notes include hi-resolution renders and a new interview with series creator Yu Suzuki. Preorders for the double vinyl soundtrack are now live on publisher Cartridge Thunder, along with distributors Mondo in Austin, Light in the Attic in Seattle, Black Screen Records in Europe, and PixelCrib in Australia. Shipping is estimated for July.
