In addition to new character art and enhanced 3D locations, the developers have redesigned the adventure game's intricate puzzles for a smoother and more intuitive experience. The remaster of the 2002 point-and-click adventure game, designed by Belgian comic artist Benoît Sokal, will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows through Steam.
The story of Syberia follows protagonist Kate Walker, a brilliant lawyer from New York, as she pursues inventor Hans Voralberg to a remote village in the French Alps. Walker encounters a lifelike automaton named Oscar, introduced in the reveal trailer. The comparison trailer can be viewed on Microids' YouTube channel.
Syberia Remastered for Meta Quest 3 and 3S headsets is currently in development. Available for adding to wishlists, the Meta product page reads, "After four iconic titles on PC and console, Syberia enters VR for the very first time.
