Published by ININ Games, Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III has launched for PS4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch consoles. The platformer was first released for the NEC PC Engine on February 15th of 1991.

The sequel to Rainbow Islands and the third installment in the Bubble Bobble franchise stars Bubby and Bobby in their human form. The brothers are equipped with multipurpose parasols used as parachutes, or in repelling enemy characters. Music for the game is by Noriyuki Iwadare.

Strictly Limited Games has opened preorders for the physical edition of Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III. The Special Limited Edition for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles ships with a game manual, translated guide, and the soundtrack album on a single compact disc.
