Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny remaster includes in-game music player
Capcom's action-adventure game Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny launched for PlayStation 2 in March of 2002. The high-definition remaster is scheduled for release on May 23rd.

The sequel to Onimusha: Warlords is set during Japan's Sengoku period and follows skilled swordsman Jubei Yagyu on his quest to end resurrected Nobunaga’s reign. Jubei absorbs souls from felled demonic creatures to enhance his abilities—upgrading his weapons and armor.

The remaster includes the Gallery mode stocked with over one hundred sketches by character designer Keita Amemiya. A music player allows for playback of 43 tracks from the original soundtrack, composed by Taro Iwashiro, Hideki Okugawa, and Toshihiko Horiyama. The Merchant Town theme is streaming on Spotify, published by Capcom.

Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny will launch for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One consoles, while the Windows edition hosted on Steam is verified for use with the Steam Deck. Preorders include the Onimusha 2: Orchestra Album Selection Pack, containing five tracks from the Taro Iwashiro Selection album, published in April of 2002.
