Composer Norio Hanzawa's soundtrack from Quarth is included in "Music From Konami Antiques" Vinyl Vol.7, shipping from distributor Playasia. The compilation album also includes the Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse game score by the Konami Kukeiha Club sound team members Hidenori Maezawa, Jun Funahashi, and Yukie Morimoto.

Quarth arrived in arcades under the title "Block Hole" in 1989, combining block-clearing puzzle game mechanics with shoot-em-up gameplay. The Nintendo Famicom console port launched on April 13, 1990. Konami's MSX2 port appeared on the Wii U Virtual Console, while the Game Boy edition made its way to the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console.
