Nihon Falcom's Brandish 2: The Planet Buster launched for the NEC PC-98 personal computer in 1993. King Record pressed the soundtrack album on compact disc, decorated with cover illustration by Front Mission 2 character designer Jun Suemi.

Music is by Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys co-composer Masaru Nakajima and Falcom Sound Team. The 40-track album is streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music Unlimited, published by Nihon Falcom.

The home console port of the dungeon crawler arrived on Super Famicom on August 11th of 1995, published by Koei. Brandish 2 Expert followed on March 15th of 1996, adding selectable difficulty settings and a Time Attack mode.
