Mega Man Zero launched for the Game Boy Advance handheld in April of 2002 in Japan, co-produced by Keiji Inafune and director Yoshinori Kawano. A century after the events of Mega Man X, Zero is taken out of suspended animation by a human scientist.
Finding him in the midst of a dire energy crisis in Neo Arcadia, Zero is tasked with defending the remaining Reploid survivors of the the Maverick War. Music for the game series is by Ippo Yamada, Luna Umegaki, Masaki Suzuki, Tsutomu Kurihara, Chicken Mob, Shinichi Itakura, Ryo Kawakami, Koji Hayama, and Setsuo Yamamoto.
Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch consoles, published by Capcom. The PC edition, available for Windows through Steam, is verified for use with the Steam Deck. The Mega Man Zero/ZX Sound Box is streaming on Spotify and Amazon Music Unlimited.
