Jaleco Arcade Collection Vol.1 includes City Connection
Wishlists have opened on Steam for Jaleco Arcade Collection Vol.1. Developed by Gravity, the '80s and '90s arcade game compilation supports save and rewind functionality, multiple game regions, and customizable rapid-fire settings.

Jaleco Arcade Collection Vol.1 includes City Connection, Formation Z, Field Combat, Pig's & Bomber's, P-47: The Freedom Fighter, Saint Dragon, Shingen Samurai-Fighter, The Astyanax, Cybattler, and Naughty Boy. Other titles will be announced approaching launch.


Jaleco platformer City Connection follows protagonist Clarice as she empties cans of paint from the rear of her Honda City hatchback while outmaneuvering police patrol cars and swerving to avoid stray cats, Clarice travels across Japan, India, Egypt, London, Holland, China, Paris and Easter Island, with each stage featuring variations on the same theme.

Much of the game is set to arrangements of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's "Allegro non troppo e molto maestoso" from Piano Concerto No.1. Clarice, when colliding with a flag-waving feline, triggers the “Flohwalzer,” or German "Flea Waltz." (The simple piano melody is known in Japan as “I Stepped on a Cat.") The 18-minute digital soundtrack is streaming on Spotify and Apple Music, published by Clarice Disc.

Hamster Corporation's Arcade Archives City Connection is available for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles. The NES port is included in the NES library of the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service.
