The Gravity Rush series for PlayStation consoles turns 10 today. The gravity defying action-adventure games, directed by Keiichiro Toyama, feature music composed by Kouhei Tanaka.

Developed by Team Gravity at Sony's Japan Studio, Gravity Rush 2 debuted in 2017. The PlayStation 4 exclusive continues the tale of protagonist Kat's adventures in the city of Hekseville. "Gravity Rush: The Animation - Overture," a two-part animated film by Studio Khara, served to fill in the gap between the two game installments.

Publisher Team Entertainment pressed the Gravity Rush 2 soundtrack album to four compact discs in Japan in 2017. The physical publication is currently available for shipping domestically through distributors CDJapan and Play-Asia. Excerpts from the album can be streamed online on Spotify in Japan.

Recorded in 2016, a video of the composer's live keyboard performance of music from the series can be viewed on the PlayStation Japan YouTube channel. The Gravity Rush 2 music score features synthesizer operator Yasunori Nishiki and performers Eijiro Nakagawa on trombone and Ryu Kawamura on bass.

From the product page:
Another mind-bending adventure awaits gravity queen Kat as a new danger emerges to threaten the fabric of the universe itself. Still searching for clues behind the mystery of her origin, and with the powerful Raven at her side, Kat must master three unique gravity attack styles as she takes on enemies and massive bosses.
