11 bit studios will publish society survival game Frostpunk 2 on July 25th, available for Windows through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the digital artbook and soundtrack.

In an alternate telling of history where the earth is beset by a worldwide volcanic winter, the story is set in New London in the early 20th century. Jakub Stokalski, co-director and design director, comments, "We still use that post-apocalyptic, frozen setup, to tell a meaningful story about human ambition, societies striving for their ideas, and the consequences of hard decisions which are not always respected by everyone. Because ultimately, what can end us is not nature itself - it's human nature.”

Record label Gamemusic Records published Frostpunk Original Soundtrack by series composer Piotr Musiał in 2008, mastered by Matthias Adloff and featuring cover design by Jakub Kowalczyk. The music score performed by Atom String Quartet and Sofia Session Orchestra is streaming on Spotify, while a separate album packages additional themes from expansions launched in 2020: "The Last Autumn" and "On The Edge."
