Final Fantasy XVI Original Soundtrack Ultimate Edition is scheduled for release on eight compact discs in Japan, including cutscene background music. Excerpts of all 181 tracks are streaming on digital music store Ototoy and the official album website.

The Prelude EP is now available for streaming on Spotify and Amazon Music Unlimited, featuring "To Sail Forbidden Seas," "My Lady," "The Lion and the Hare - The Nysa Defile" "Land of Eikons," and the previously released single "Find the Flame," composed by Masayoshi Soken.

Featuring music from the PlayStation 5 action-role playing game, the soundtrack album publication will include a booklet with comments by the composer and other staff members. Preorders are opened at the Square Enix store for North America and Europe, along with distributor CDJapan. Additional music is composed and arranged by Nobuo Uematsu, Daiki Ishikawa, and Takafumi Imamura.
