Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II for Super Famicom turns 33, today
Nihon Falcom published the second entry in the Eselhasa duology in March of 1992 for the NEC PC-8801 personal computer.

EGGCONSOLE Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II is available for Nintendo Switch, published by D4 Enterprise. This faithful emulation of the Japanese-language PC title comes with English-translated "How to Play" guides and outer menus. Music is composed by Falcom Sound Team jdk members Mieko Ishikawa and Atsushi Shirakawa.

A Super Famicom port of the turn-based role-playing game launched on this date in 1993. The 16-bit soundtrack and Perfect Collection album are available for streaming on YouTube Music, owing to the company's permissive music use policy. The latter album includes the game score composed for the PC-88 OPNA sound source, along with orchestral arrangements by Tamiya Terashima and Tomohiko Kishimoto.

The debut title in the series, The Legend of Heroes, features music by Ishikawa and Masaaki Kawai of Falcom Sound Team jdk. The vinyl soundtrack ships from record label Streaming Arrow, along with distributors Black Screen Records in Europe and PixelCrib in Australia.

Though 20 years have passed within the storyline, the geography of Iseruhasa remains mostly unchanged. One of the game’s charms lies in the appearances of beloved characters like Runnan, Sonia, Row, Aron, and Gail I, whose stories continue as players journey across the land. Observing the differences in Eselhasa from the perspectives of Celios in the previous game and Atlas in this one adds an interesting layer to the experience.
