Supermassive Games schedules Directive 8020 for release in May
Supermassive Games has scheduled Directive 8020 for release on May 12th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows through Steam.

The preorder trailer, posted earlier today, features "Comply" by Blood Red Shoes. Mentioned in the trailer description, console preorders come with the Digital Deluxe upgrade, which includes the digital soundtrack by Dead Space series composer Jason Graves and licensed tracks to complement the mood of cosmic dread.

The latest entry in The Dark Pictures series of standalone horror games, from the creators of Until Dawn, depicts a future scenario set deep in space. The crew of the colony ship Cassiopeia is stranded on a planet twelve light years from Earth, pursued by a deadly alien threat. Plot development is impacted by the "Turning Points" story tree, allowing players to rewrite history and change the course of the story, exploring hidden paths and leading to multiple possible endings.

A thirteen-minute preview of prologue gameplay from Directive 8020 previously premiered on the developer's YouTube channel. The footage appeared in the hands-on demo previewed for press and influencers at Gamescom in Cologne.
