Developed by Starbreeze Studios of Stockholm, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons launched in August of 2013 for Xbox 360 consoles. The narrative-driven adventure game features an original score by Gustaf Grefberg.

Arriving earlier this week, Avantgarden of Milan headed development on Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake for modern consoles, while 505 Games retains publishing duties. The design of the remake aims at a faithful revisiting of the original title's gameplay and emotional storytelling, while revising the character design, visuals, and performance to complement the capabilities of the latest generation of hardware.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake is available for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles, along with Windows through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. The soundtrack album is based on the original score, bundling ten arrangements with fifteen original compositions by Daniele Carmosino and Christof Unterberger.

A behind-the-scenes filmed with the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra can be viewed on YouTube, courtesy of the Danca music production house. The video is narrated by Carmosino, featuring vocalist Emma B Sunbring.
