Publisher City Connection has announced Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute. The mech platformer is scheduled for release on April 25th in Japan for Windows through Steam, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.

City Connection's "S-Tribute" project is comprised of contemporary ports of classic Sega Saturn games, utilizing the Zebra Engine for accurate emulation. Masaya Games' followup to Sega Genesis title Target Earth and its prequel Cybernator, Assault Suit Leynos 2 launched in 1997 exclusively in Japan.

Domestic preorders have opened at distributors CDJapan and Play-Asia for the 12th Special Mecha Unit Pack for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. The special edition physical release is bundled with the Leynos 1&2 soundtrack CD and fan book.

The Saturn Tribute will add rewind functionality and a quick save option. An announcement trailer can be viewed on the publisher's YouTube channel. Music for the game is by Noboru Iwata, Hiroaki Shibata, and Hiroshi Iizuka.
