Developed by Tokyo-based studio Brain Grey, post-apocalyptic role-playing game Last Armageddon launched for the NEC PC-8801 personal computer in 1988. The development team was comprised by former Koei staff, including scenario writer Iijima Takeo.

Publisher P-Vine Records of Tokyo previously released "All Sounds of Gdleen," showcasing the Super Famicom role-playing game's original soundtrack. Composed by Koji Hayama and Katsuyuki Inose, the "All Sounds of Last Armageddon" vinyl includes the game score, with arrangements of "Tower of No Return" and "Monster Bible."
