Environmental puzzle game Taiji by solo developer Matthew VanDevander is available for Windows through Steam and Itch.io, alongside the digital soundtrack album.

The sprite-based adventure game takes place on a mysterious, abandoned island. Eliminating the guesswork inhibiting forward progress in many puzzle games, Taiji's puzzles feature a consistent interface: a grid of tiles which can be toggled on or off.

The relaxing, immersive ambient soundscape is composed by Grzegorz Bednorz, with additional contributions by VanDevander. The 24-track digital soundtrack can be purchased through Bandcamp and Steam, while the album is streaming on Spotify and YouTube Music. Cover artwork is by Wes Enns.

From the Steam page:
Although this might seem simple, the consistency of the interface frees the player from guesswork or pixel hunting that happens in many adventure games. It is always clear what the player must interact with in order to solve the puzzle, but it is never entirely clear what they must do. There are many different areas in the game, each with their own visual and mechanical themes. As you explore this dense world, it is important to think hard and to pay close attention, as vital clues are sometimes hidden in plain sight.
