Bethesda’s Starfield casts the player as a silent protagonist exploring a section of the Milky Way galaxy. Studio director Todd Howard describes the game as ”Skyrim in space.”

Set in the year 2330, the player joins space explorers seeking rare artifacts throughout the galaxy. The open world design of Starfield allows for customized character creation and unparalleled freedom of exploration, playable in both first and third-person viewing modes. The single-player action role-playing game marks the first use of the Creation Engine 2, in development for over a decade.

Israeli-American composer Inon Zur of the Dragon Age and Fallout series has created a lush, piano-driven main theme that echoes with hope and possibilities.

Starfield: Original Game Soundtrack covers synth, ambient, and electronica instrumental styles, alongside Zur's expressive piano compositions. Clocking in at 5 hours and 29 minutes, the full 79-track score is available for streaming on Spotify and Apple Music, alongside "Children of the Sky (A Starfield Song)" by Imagine Dragons.

Starfield is available now in early access, with the Windows and Xbox Series X|S release scheduled for September 6th. The Digital Premium Edition comes with access to the Digital Artbook and Original Soundtrack.
