S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl slated for release on September 5th

Developer GSC Game World has slated S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl for release in September as a Windows exclusive, coming day one to Xbox Game Pass.

The open-world setting encompasses a 64-kilometer region called the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, depicted using the Unreal Engine 5. Competing factions engage in shootouts over radiated territory, fending off mutated creatures while searching out valuable artifacts. Players are challenged with ailments including hunger and radiation poisoning, while the environment changes based on time of day and adverse weather conditions.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is planned for release on September 5th for Xbox Series X|S consoles, along with Windows through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. The Deluxe Edition includes the digital soundtrack album, previewed on the developer's YouTube channel.

Chornobyl Exclusion Zone has changed dramatically after the second massive explosion in year 2006.
