Stealth-based survival horror game Siren 2 launched for PlayStation 2 in 2006. Set in in 2005, the player takes control of three separate characters, experiencing life-threatening supernatural events on Yamijima Island, unfolding in non-chronological order.

Directed by Keiichiro Toyama, the sequel was developed by Sony Computer Entertainment's Japan Studio. A Western localization arrived later that year in Europe and Australia with English-language audio under the title "Forbidden Siren 2."

The 52-track digital soundtrack by Kowloon's Gate composer Kuniaki Haishima is now available for streaming on Spotify. Vocals on "Konagihishoka" are performed by Mai Takahashi.
