Enhanced console port of Mafia: Definitive Edition to launch tomorrow
Developer Hangar 13 has announced a native console port of Mafia: Definitive Edition, available tomorrow for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles. Existing owners of the action-adventure game for Xbox One and PS4 receive the free upgrade, benefiting from 60 fps gameplay and technical improvements.

The story is set in the fictional city of Lost Heaven, Illinois, during the Prohibition era of the 1930s. After a chance encounter with the Salieri crime family, cab driver Tommy Angelo reluctantly accepts offers of work and protection, gradually drawing him deeper into the world of organized crime.

First launched in 2020, Mafia: Definitive Edition is a faithfully recreated remake of Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven (2002), with expanded story, updated gameplay, and an original score composed by Jesse Harlin. The opening theme is composed by Vladimír Šimůnek, performed by Brno Philharmonic.



The Original Score is available through Steam and the Epic Games Store, published by 2K Games. Orchestration for the score is by Carl Rydlund, recorded at Nashville Music Scoring and featuring the Prague FILMharmonic Orchestra. Streaming is available through Spotify, Amazon Music Unlimited, and the Mafia Game YouTube channel.

Mafia: The Omertà Collection is scheduled for release tomorrow for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles. The current-gen bundle includes four series entries: Mafia: The Old Country Definitive Edition, Mafia: Definitive Edition, Mafia II: Definitive Edition, and Mafia III: Definitive Edition.
