Record label Sega Music has announced 'GP Rider 35th Anniv. Album,' scheduled for release on July 30th in Japan. A ten-minute crossfade trailer is streaming on the Sega Sound Team YouTube channel.

The Sound Shock series album includes 14 newly recorded tracks from the arcade game, soundtracks from console ports, and four bonus tracks. Six tracks from the Master System port, launched in 1993 in Europe and Australia, appear on the album. 10 tracks from the 1994 Game Gear port were captured using Sega hardware as the sound source.

Sega's motorcycle racing game, supporting two-player simultaneous play, arrived in arcades in October of 1990. Inspired by the 500cc bike World Grand Prix, the arcade game ran on Sega's X Board hardware, launched with After Burner to handle scaling and rotation effects. Original music is by Hiro, Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, and Yasuhiro Takagi.

Vocal track "Time Attack Vo Arr Ver. - Ride the Game!" is performed by Mitsuyoshi and Akane Kimura, complemented by an instrumental track for use in karaoke. "Be Over - Hiro Arr Ver." is arranged by Master Hiro. "The Perfect Power - Mickey Arr Ver." is arranged by Koichi "Mickey" Namiki, formerly the leader of the S.S.T. Sound Band.
