Ganbare Goemon! Daishūgō compilation debuts exclusively in Japan
Earlier this month, Konami released Ganbare Goemon! Daishūgō in Japan. The compilation includes The Legend of the Mystical Ninja, first published for the Super Famicom in Japan on this date, 35 years ago.

The 40th anniversary collection bundles 13 titles from the humorous action-adventure series inspired by Japanese folklore. Celebratory 40-minute loops of 15 selected music tracks are hosted on Konami's YouTube playlist. Music is composed by Kazuhiko Uehara and Harumi Ueko of The Legend of the Mystical Ninja, among other Konami Kukeiha Club members.

In addition to the Ganbare Goemon games, the compilation also contains a secret bonus title. As an homage to the hidden Easter eggs of the Famicom era, Crisis Force is accessed by entering the Konami Code (↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A) in the settings screen. Music for the 1991 Famicom shoot-em-up is by June Chuma, Kenichi Matsubara, and Yasuhiko Manno.

Japan's retail edition of Ganbare Goemon! Daishūgō for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 consoles is available for import from distributor CDJapan.
