Developed by FURYU Corporation, Reynatis is scheduled for release in September, published by NIS America. The action-packed role-playing game is set in a fantasized reimagining of the modern-day Shibuya ward of Tokyo, inhabited by magicians.

The fantasy scenario is penned by Kazushige Nojima, with character design by Yasutaka Kaburagi, revolving around two alternating gameplay modes. In Suppressed Mode, protagonist Marin Kirizumi conceals his identity, allowing him to converse with civilians to activate new quests. Liberated Mode allows for covering ground more quickly, while risking battles with antagonists.

The player can swap between three different party members in the heat of battle. A special sub-quest involves characters from NEO: The World Ends With You, the latest installment of the Square Enix role-playing game franchise inspired by Shibuya ward locations.

Reynatis Limited Edition for consoles is available for preorder at the NIS Online Store. The physical release includes the soundtrack CD containing music composed by Yoko Shimomura, together with an art book. A soundtrack crossfade video previews music tracks "Liberation of Reynatis," "Suppression of Magic," "Magus Residuum," "Living in Modern Chaos," "To the Secret Place," and "Beyond Fury."

The launch of Reynatis is scheduled for September 27th, available for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PlayStation 5 consoles, along with Windows through Steam.

From the product page:
The year is 2024. In Shibuya, Tokyo, the Criminal Magic Response Act has issued an order barring citizens from going out at night. However, it was quickly disregarded, and few enforce it.

Marin Kirizumi is a wizard who grew up oppressed by others due to his magic. “If you become the strongest, you'll be set free." Following those words left by his father, he arrives in Shibuya at night.

When Sari Nishijima discovered her magic, she decided to use her powers to maintain order. She follows her own sense of justice to protect Shibuya from forces with dangerous ideals and illegal drugs that turn people into monsters.
