Cover artwork by illustrator Paul Mann channels the explosive energy of the 1980's action films that inspired the Metal Gear developers. Additional audio sourcing is by Thomas Torre, with mastering by James Plotkin and art direction by Mo Shafeek.
Windows ports of Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance launched in September of 2020 through GOG, as part of their restoration showcase of classic Konami titles.
