Hirogami major update launched for Windows and PlayStation 5 consoles
Kakehashi Games has released their major update for 3D action platformer Hirogami, adjusting fixed camera angles and rebalancing combat.

Developed by Bandai Namco's Singapore and Malaysia studios, the game emerged from the company's Startup Challenge initiative, fostering innovation in game design. Landscapes and objects are designed to convey paper objects folded into compelling shapes, inspired by the ancient Japanese art of origami.

Sound direction and music composition is by Ao Tsubame. "The music in the game is composed to be delicate, while tense at the same time," the composer mentioned in a behind-the-scenes roundtable discussion. "We combined traditional Japanese instruments with modern methods to achieve this, creating a new sound that is always flowing. I think the strange, mystical feel of the music is a good match for the world of Hirogami."

Hirogami is currently available for PlayStation 5 consoles, along with Windows through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The playable demo is hosted on Steam, verified for use with the Steam Deck. The soundtrack CD and a diorama designed by origami artist Muneji Fuchimoto are bundled with the Japan-exclusive PS5 physical release.
