Konami's turn-based role-playing game Ganbare Goemon Gaiden launched for the Nintendo Famicom console 34 years ago, on this date. Both 8-bit titles were ported to the Wii-U Virtual Console in Japan.

The Ganbare Goemon Gaiden: Kieta Ōgon Kiseru and Ganbare Goemon Gaiden 2: Tenka no Zaihō Famicom soundtracks by Konami Kukeiha Club members will be bundled in "Music From Konami Antiques" Vinyl Vol.2, scheduled for release on March 27th in Japan. Preorders have opened at distributor Light in the Attic in Seattle.

Record label Konamistyle's "Music From Konami Antiques" compact disc box set, containing game scores from 44 Nintendo Famicom titles, ships domestically from distributors CDJapan and Play-Asia.
