To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Kunio-kun game series, Arc System Works published River City Ransom remake River City: Rival Showdown for Nintendo 3DS. The 2D brawler's 22-track digital soundtrack, composed by Kazuo Sawa, is available for streaming on Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon Music Unlimited.

The streaming platforms also host digital soundtracks from 8-bit Famicom titles "Downtown Nekketsu March Super-Awesome Field Day" and "Downtown Special Kunio-kun's Historical Period Drama." Both Kunio-kun series installments are featured in Double Dragon & Kunio-kun: Retro Brawler Bundle for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
