Outskirts of Time album arranges Chrono Trigger

Developer Square Enix has posted five music excerpts from "Outskirts of Time," an album arranging music from role-playing games Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, overseen by composer Yasunori Mitsuda. Scheduled for release October 14, the music collection will feature the participation of Millenial Fair of Xenogears' Creid.

Coinciding with the first day of the Tokyo Game Show, developer Square Enix has posted cover art and excerpts of each track from Yoko Shimomura's Legend of Mana arrangement album. "Promise" will include new renditions of twelve themes from the action role-playing game, scheduled for publication later this week in Japan.

Square Enix has announced plans for a Final Fantasy XI music Blu-ray, scheduled for release on November 11 in Japan. A Tokyo Game Show trailer posted earlier today commemorates the massively multiplayer online game's 14th year online. Music is by Final Fantasy Legends composer Naoshi Mizuta and other artists.

Konami Digital Entertainment has published Metal Gear Solid Ⅴ: The Phantom Pain Soundtrack Selections, featuring music by Ludvig Forssell, Justin Burnett and Harry Gregson-Williams. Excerpts from the album can be sampled on iTunes, with live studio recordings of series covers streaming on vocalist Donna Burke's YouTube channel.

Eiko Ishiwata, composer of the independently developed role-playing game Earthlock: Festival of Magic, has posted her 21-track collection of Final Fantasy acoustic renditions to Bandcamp. Final Fantasy Acoustic Rendition is available to stream in full online, featuring compositions by Nobuo Uematsu.

Kyoto by Eddie Lee free for Mac and PC

Kyoto, an independently developed, melancholy homage to the Japanese city, is now free to download for Mac and PC through the Funktronic Labs website. Designed by Eddie Lee, whose credits include Q-Games' PixelJunk 4am visualizer for PlayStation 3, the audio-visual serenity app has sound design by Jack Menhorn.

The Tokyo Game Show's 2013 Sense of Wonder Night event for experimental games can now be viewed in full on YouTube. The program runs close to two hours and twenty minutes, including presentations by musician and game designers Eddie Lee (PixelJunk 4am) and Mario von Rickenbach (Krautscape).

Square Enix has opened the official website for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call, the Nintendo 3DS sequel to the handheld rhythm game for portable devices. The game will include 60 playable characters and over 200 music tracks, including a new rendition of the "Prelude" currently streaming online.

Best-of compilation "Black Disk" bundles the favorite compositions of current Square Enix in-house artists, with excerpts streaming on the album's official website. Square Enix has announced an upcoming concert, featuring live performances of composer Takeharu Ishimoto's music from The World Ends with You. The show is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 26 at the Shibuya O-West venue, right next to locations depicted in the Nintendo DS and iOS mobile game.

Today Square Enix released The World Ends With You: Solo Remix through the iTunes Store. The game's soundtrack album, titled "Subarashiki Kono Sekai -Crossover-" will go on sale at the Tokyo Game Show, featuring ten enhanced editions of Takeharu Ishimoto's songs from the DS title and Kingdom Hearts 3D.
